State of North Carolina

    In accordance with a notice from the Federal Emergency Management 
Agency dated February 4, 1998, the above-numbered Declaration is hereby 
amended to establish the incident period for this disaster as beginning 
on January 7, 1998 and continuing. The incident period which was closed 
effective January 21, 1998 is now reopened to allow for additional 
damage resulting from continuing severe storms.
    All other information remains the same, i.e., the deadline for 
filing applications for physical damage is March 16, 1998 and for 
economic injury the deadline is October 15, 1998. (Catalog of Federal 
Domestic Assistance Program Nos. 59002 and 59008)
