The National Center for Environmental Health (NCEH) of the
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Will Convene the
Following Meeting Sponsored by the Division of Environmental Health
Laboratory Sciences
Name: Development of Innovative Technology for Measurement of
Lead in Blood: Meeting of Grant Recipients and Cooperative Research
and Development Agreement (CRADA) Partners.
Time and date: 8:30 a.m.-11 a.m., May 20, 1995.
Place: Terrace Garden Inn-Buckhead, 3405 Lenox Road, NE,
Atlanta, Georgia 30326.
Status: Open to the public, limited only by space available.
Purpose: The primary purpose of this meeting is to brief the
grantees and CDC's CRADA partners about CDC expectations for the
grant and CRADA program, to encourage collaboration among grantees
and CRADA partners and to review progress toward the objectives of
the program.
Matters to be discussed: Topics to be discussed include
objectives of the CDC grant and CRADA program for the development of
innovative technology for the measurement of lead in blood, impact
of the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act on the technology, and an
overview of each grantee and CRADA organization.
Agenda items are subject to change as priorities dictate.

number, and organizational affiliation of the presenter. Depending
on the time available and the number of requests to make oral
comments, it may be necessary to limit the time of each presenter.
