1998 Biennial Regulatory Review--Elimination of Rules Concerning
Telegraph and Telephone Franks
AGENCY: Federal Communications Commission.
ACTION: Final rule.

SUMMARY: The Federal Communications Commission released a Report and
Order which eliminated the rules governing the issuance of franks and
certain reports by communications common carriers. The elimination of
this rule does not restrict privileges that are statutorily recognized,
and will not affect other obligations imposed by the Communications
Act, or confer any additional pricing flexibility on dominant or other
carriers.
DATES EFFECTIVE: April 22, 1999.

Accordingly, under the authority of Sec. 4, 48 Stat. 1066, as
amended; 47 U.S.C. 154. Interpret or apply sec. 210, 48 Stat. 1073, as
amended (47 U.S.C. 210), Title 47 CFR chapter 1 is amended by removing
part 41.
