NorAm Gas Transmission Company; Notice of Filing

March 18, 1997.
    Take notice that on March 13, 1997, NorAm Gas Transmission Company 
(NGT) tendered for filing a notice that it was withdrawing its filing 
previously make in this proceeding, with prejudice, and will make full 
refunds, with interest, for all amounts previously collected as Gas 
Supply Realignment Costs through a demand surcharge previously 
authorized under NGT's Seventh Revised Sheet No. 13 to its FERC Gas 
Tariff, Fourth Revised Volume No. 1. Refunds will include interest, 
calculated in accordance with the Commission's Regulations.
    Any person desiring to protest said filing should file a protest 
with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., 
Washington, DC 20426, in accordance with Section 385.211 of the 
Commission's Rules of Practice and Procedure. All such protests should 
be filed as provided in Section 154.210 of the Commission's 
Regulations. Protests will be considered by the Commission in 
determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will not service to 
make protestants parties to the proceeding. Copies of this filing are 
on file with the Commission and are available for public inspection.
