    State of Alabama
    
        As a result of the President's major disaster declaration on March 
    9, 1998, and an amendment thereto on March 10, I find that Coffee, 
    Covington, Dale, Escambia, Geneva, and Houston Counties in the State of 
    Alabama constitute a disaster area due to damages caused by severe 
    storms and flooding beginning on March 7, 1998 and continuing. 
    Applications for loans for physical damages may be filed until the 
    close of business on May 8, 1998, and for loans for economic injury 
    until the close of business on December 9, 1998 at the address listed 
    below or other locally announced locations:
    
    Small Business Administration, Disaster Area 2 Office, One Baltimore 
    Place, Suite 300, Atlanta, GA 30308
    
        In addition, applications for economic injury loans from small 
    businesses located in the following contiguous counties may be filed 
    until the specified date at the above location: Baldwin, Barbour, 
    Butler, Conecuh, Crenshaw, Henry, Monroe, and Pike Counties in Alabama; 
    Escambia, Holmes, Jackson, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, and Walton Counties in 
    Florida; and Early and Seminole Counties in Georgia.
