United States International Telecommunications Advisory Committee
(ITAC), Radiocommunication Sector (ITAC-R): Notice of Meetings
The Department of State announces that a meeting of the National
Committee of the Radiocommunciation Sector of the U.S. International
Telecommunication Advisory Committee will be held April 2, 1998, 1:30
PM-4 PM, in Room 1406 of the Department of State, 2201 ``C'' Street,
N.W., Washington, D.C. The purpose of the National Committee is to
advise the Department on policy, technical and operational matters with
respect to international radiocommunciations issues. A related meeting
of the ITAC CITEL Permanent Consultative Committee III--
Radiocommunications will be held April 2, 1998 at 9:30-11:30 AM, in
Room 1406.
The National Committee meeting will consider the preparatory
process for ITU Radiocommunication meetings, review radiocommunication
matters requiring decision at the International Telecommunication Union
Administrative Council meeting May 20-29, 1998, and review Study Group
and CPM activities.
The PCC III preparatory meeting will review the results of the
CITEL Assembly and consider U.S. preparations for the PCC III meeting
June 8-12, 1998 in Sao Paulo.
Members of the General Public may attend these meetings and join in
the discussions, subject to the instructions of the Chair. Admittance
of public members will be limited to the seating available. In this
regard, entrance to the Department of State is controlled.
Persons intending to attend the meeting should send a fax to (202)
647-7407 not later than 24 hours before the meeting. On this fax,
please include the name of the meeting, your name, social security
number, date of birth and organization. One of the following valid
photo identifications will be required for admittance: U.S. driver's
license with your picture on it, U.S. passport, or a U.S. Government
identification (company ID's are no longer accepted by Diplomatic
Security). Enter from the `C' Street Main Lobby.
