Martin Corporation, Lockheed Martin Tactical Defense System
AGENCY: Department of the Navy, DoD.
ACTION: Notice of Intent to Grant Exclusive Patent License.

SUMMARY: The Department of the Navy hereby gives notice of its intent
to grant to Lockheed Martin Corporation, Lockheed Martin Tactical
Defense System, a revocable, nonassignable, exclusive license in the
United States, and certain foreign countries, to practice the
Government owned invention described in U.S. Patent No. 5,572,320
entitled ``Fluid Sampling Utilizing Optical Near Field Imaging,'' in
the field of machine condition assessment.
DATES: Anyone wishing to object to the grant of this license must file
written objections along with supporting evidence, if any, not later
than May 26, 1998.
