AGENCY: Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
ACTION: Notice of availability.

SUMMARY: FEMA announces the availability of the document ``A Guide to
Preparing Public Information Materials and Emergency Alert System
Instructions for Radiological Emergencies,'' FEMA-REP-11, Revision, and
requests comments on the document.
DATES: Comments and responses should be sent no later than June 26,
1994.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: FEMA-REP-11 was first published in June
1987. This document provided assistance to State and local governments
and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) licensees in the development of
emergency public information materials. This revision continues to
provide such assistance, and provides additional guidance on the
development, review, and evaluation of emergency broadcast messages for
the public. Our intent is to help responsible organizations to alert
the public and to provide emergency instructions and information on the
classification of an emergency, the populations and areas potentially
affected, and the protective measures that may be necessary. We welcome
your comments on this document.
