Wisconsin Electric Power Company; Notice of Filing

March 22, 1996.
    Take notice that on March 15, 1996, Wisconsin Electric Power 
Company (Wisconsin Electric), tendered for filing an Electric Service 
Agreement and a Transmission Service Agreement between itself and 
Coastal Electric Services Company (Coastal). The Transmission Service 
Agreement allows Coastal to receive transmission service under 
Wisconsin Electric's FERC Point-to-Point Transmission Tariff, under 
Docket No. ER95-1474, Rate Schedule STNF.
    Wisconsin Electric requests an effective date of March 30, 1996 and 
waiver of the Commission's notice requirements to allow for economic 
transactions. Copies of the filing have been served on Coastal, the 
Public Service Commission of Wisconsin and

the Michigan Public Service Commission.
    Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should 
file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy 
Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 20426, 
in accordance with Rules 211 and 214 of the Commission's Rules of 
Practice and Procedure (18 CFR 385.211 and 18 CFR 385.214). All such 
motions of protests should be filed on or before April 5, 1996. 
Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the 
appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants 
parties to the proceeding. Any person wishing to become a party must 
file a motion to intervene. Copies of this filing are on file with the 
Commission and are available for public inspection.
