Description of Request: The licensee requests a variance from Article 418 (Recreation Plan) to close Nacoochee Park beginning August 1, 2023, for a period of up to two years, to support its hydro modernization efforts at the Nacoochee dam and powerhouse. Specifically, the licensee plans to stage equipment and store materials needed for the modernization work at Nacoochee Park and close the park to public access for public safety and project security reasons.
