In accordance with section 223 of the Trade Act of 1974 (19 USC
2273) the Department of Labor issued a Certification of Eligibility to
Apply for Worker Adjustment Assistance applicable to all workers of
Grace Drilling Company operating at the above mentioned localities. The
certification notice was issued on February 7, 1992.
At the request of the State Agency, the Department reviewed the
certification for workers of the subject firm. The investigation
findings show that the Nabors Drilling USA, Inc., Houston, Texas
purchased Grace Drilling Company in June 1993 and is a successor-in-
interest firm.
Some of the claimants' wages are reported under a UI tax account
for Nabors Drilling USA, Inc. Accordingly, the Department is amending
the certification to properly reflect the correct worker group.
The amended notice applicable to TA-W-26,667 is hereby published as
follows:
All workers of Grace Drilling Company, a/k/a/ Nabors Drilling
USA, Inc., and operating in the various cities and States listed
below and who became totally or partially separated from employment
on or after April 17, 1991 are eligible to apply for adjustment
assistance under section 223 of the Trade Act of 1974.
