Office of Research on Women's Health; Notice of Meeting
Pursuant to Section 10(d) of the Federal Advisory Committee Act, as
amended (5 U.S.C. Appendix 2), notice is hereby given of the meeting of
the Advisory Committee on Research on Women's Health (ACRWH) to be held
May 7-8, 1998 at the National Institutes of Health, 9000 Rockville
Pike, Building 31, C Wing, Conference Room 10, Bethesda, Maryland. The
entire meeting will be open to the public from 8:30 a.m. on May 7, to
adjournment on May 8. The purpose of the meeting will be for the
Committee to provide advice to the Office of Research on Women's Health
(ORWH) on its research agenda and to provide recommendations regarding
ORWH activities. Attendance by the public will be limited to space
available.
The agenda will include an update on ORWH activities and programs
to meet the mandates of the Office. The Committee will also discuss
ongoing activities to update the NIH research agenda on women's health,
including recommendations from its series of meetings, ``Beyond Hunt
Valley: Research on Women's Health for the 21st Century.'' The series
of public hearings and scientific workshops were held in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania; New Orleans, Louisiana; Sante Fe, New Mexico; and the
National Institutes of Health.
Individuals who plan to attend and need special assistance, such as
sign language interpretation or other reasonable accommodations, should
contact the Acting Executive Secretary in advance of the meeting.
