DEPARTMENT OF LABOR
Employment and Training Administration
[TA-W-35,439]
Southwest Fashion, Inc., El Paso, TX; Amended Certification
Regarding Eligibility To Apply for Worker Adjustment Assistance
In accordance with Section 223 of the Trade Act of 1974 (19 USC
2273) the Department of Labor issued a Notice of Certification
Regarding Eligibility to Apply for Worker Adjustment Assistance on
January 19, 1999, applicable to workers of Southwest Fashion, Inc., El
Paso, Texas. The notice was published in the Federal Register on
January 29, 1999 (64 FR 4712).
At the request of the State agency, the Department reviewed the
certification for workers of the subject firm. The workers produce
(cut) men's pants and some other apparel. New findings show that there
was a previous certification covering the same work group, TA-W-32,684,
issued on October 28, 1996. That certification expired October 28,
1998. To avoid an overlap in worker group coverage, the certification
is being amended to change the impact date from October 28, 1998 to
October 29, 1998, for the workers of Southwest Fashion, Inc., El Paso,
Texas.

adjustment assistance under Section 223 of the Trade Act of 1974.
Signed at Washington, D.C. this 18th day of March, 1999.
