    DEPARTMENT OF LABOR

Montana Power Company; Amended Certification Regarding
Eligibility to Apply for Worker Adjustment Assistance

In accordance with Section 223 of the Trade Act of 1974 (19 USC
2273) the Department of Labor issued a Notice of Certification
Regarding Eligibility to Apply for Worker Adjustment Assistance on
February 7, 1997, applicable to workers of Montana Power Company
located in Butte, Montana. The notice was published in the Federal
    Register on March 12, 1997 (62 FR 11473).
At the request of petitioners and the State agency, the Department
reviewed the certification for workers of the subject firm. New
findings show that worker separations have occurred at the subject
firm's Missoula, Great Falls and Havre locations in Montana. The
workers at these locations are engaged in employment related to the
    production of electrical power.
The intent of the Department's certification is to include all
workers of Montana Power Company who were affected by increased
imports. Accordingly, the Department is amending the worker
certification to include the workers of Montana Power Company located
in Missoula, Great Falls and Havre, Montana.
The amended notice applicable to TA-W-33,085 is hereby issued as
    follows:

``All workers of Montana Power Comapany, Butte, Montana (TA-W-
33,085) Missoula, Montana TA-W-33,085A), Great Falls, Montana (TA-W-
33,085B) and Havre, Montana (TA-W-33,085C), who became totally or
partially separated from employment on or after December 27, 1995,
are eligible to apply for adjustment assistance under Section 223 of
    the Trade Act of 1974.''

Signed at Washington, DC, this 14th day of March 1997.
    Russell T. Kile,
Program Manager, Policy and Reemployment Services, Office of Trade
    Adjustment Assistance.
