Substances Approved for Use in Preparation of Meat and Poultry
Products--Reopening of Comment Period
AGENCY: Food Safety and Inspection Service, USDA.
ACTION: Proposed rule; reopening of comment period.

SUMMARY: The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is reopening the
comment period for the proposed rule, ``Substances Approved for Use in
the Preparation of Meat and Poultry Products'' (60 FR 67459), published
in the Federal Register on December 29, 1995, in response to a request
for additional time to answer comments. FSIS is interested in receiving
properly evaluated and thoughtful comments on the proposal. Therefore,
FSIS is reopening the comment period for 60 days.
DATES: Comments must be received on or before May 6, 1996.
