SUMMARY:

The proposed information collection requirement described below has been submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review, as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995. OTS is soliciting public comments on the proposal.

Title of Proposal: Loans in Areas Having Special Flood Hazards.

Regulation requirement: 12 CFR 572.

Description: Savings associations are required by statute and 12 CFR 572 to file certain reports, make certain disclosures, and keep certain records. Borrowers use the information to make valid decisions regarding the purchase of flood insurance. OTS uses the records to verify compliance.

Type of Review: Renewal.

Affected Public: Savings Associations.

Estimated Number of Respondents: 1,013.

Estimated Frequency of Response: Annually.
