Texas Gas Transmission Corporation; Notice of Proposed Changes in 
FERC Gas Tariff

    Take notice that on February 28, 1996, Texas Gas Transmission 
Corporation (Texas Gas) tendered for filing the revised tariff sheets 
contained in the Appendix attached to this notice.
    Texas Gas states that the proposed tariff sheets reflect changes to 
its Base Tariff Rates pursuant to the Transportation Cost Adjustment 
provisions included as a part of the Stipulation and Agreement in 
Docket No. RP94-423, and contained in Section 39 of the General Terms 
and Conditions of its FERC Gas Tariff, First Revised Volume No. 1, as 
filed on February 23, 1996. Texas Gas requests that the revised tariff 
sheets reflecting a net reduction in its rates become effective March 
1, 1996.
    Texas Gas states that copies of the filing have been served upon 
Texas Gas jurisdictional customers and interested state commissions.
    Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should 
file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy 
Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, DC 20426, in 
accordance with Sections 385.211 and 385.214 of the Commission's Rules 
and Regulations. All such motions or protests must be filed as provided 
in Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. Protests will be 
considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate action to 
be taken, but will not serve to make protestants parties to the 
proceeding. Any person wishing to become a party to the proceeding must 
file a motion to intervene. Copies of this filing are on file with the 
Commission and are available for public inspection in the Public 
Reference Room.
