National Advisory Council on Nurse Education and Practice; 
Meeting

    In accordance with section 10(a)(2) of the Federal Advisory 
Committee Act (Pub. L. 92-463), announcement is made of the following 
National Advisory body scheduled to meet during the month of April 
1999.

    Name: National Advisory Council on Nurse Education and Practice 
(NACNEP).
    Date and Time: April 15, 1999; 8:30 a.m.--5:00 p.m., April 16, 
1999; 8:30 a.m.--3:00 p.m.
    Place: Chesapeake Room, Silver Spring Holiday Inn, 8777 Georgia 
Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland 20910.
    The meeting is open to the public.
    Agenda: Updates on and discussion of Agency, Bureau and Division 
activities, and the legislative and budget status of programs; 
review of issues, policy goals, and options of National Agenda for 
Nursing Workforce Diversity; Council strategic planning; and profile 
of the Nursing Education Opportunities for Individuals from 
Disadvantaged Backgrounds Program.
