Public Information Collection Requirement Submitted to the Office 
of Management and Budget (OMB) for Review

ACTION: Notice.

    The Department of Defense has submitted to OMB for clearance, the 
following proposal for collection of information under the provisions 
of the Paperwork Reduction Act (44 U.S.C. Chapter 35).
    Title: West Point Graduates Study--1996.
    Type of Request: New collection.
    Number of respondents: 1,826.
    Responses Per Respondent: 1.
    Annual Responses: 1,826.
    Average Burden Per Response: 35 minutes.
    Annual Burden Hours: 1,059.
    Needs and Uses: The perceptions of graduates of the U.S. Military 
Academy on the effectiveness of Academy programs and curricula are 
needed for periodic accreditation by the Accreditation Board of 
Engineering and Technology (ABET). ABET considers this graduate 
feedback process essential to the accreditation program. The 
information collected hereby, will be used to evaluate programs and 
curricula, and to formulate changes deemed available.
    Affected Public: Individuals or households.
    Frequency: One time.
    Respondent's Obligation: Voluntary.
    OMB Desk Officer: Mr. Edward C. Springer.
    Written comments and recommendations on the proposed information 
collection should be sent to Mr. Springer at the Office of Management
