Delegation of Authority With Respect to Reports
to the Congress Concerning Progress Toward
Nonproliferation in South Asia
Memorandum for the Secretary of State
By virtue of the authority vested in me by the
Constitution and laws of the United States, including
section 301 of title 3 of the United States Code, I
hereby delegate to the Secretary of State the functions
vested in the President by section 620F(c) of the
Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, as amended (22 U.S.C.
2376(c)).
Any report prepared pursuant to this delegation of
authority shall be coordinated with other agencies, as
appropriate, and the Assistant to the President for
National Security Affairs, before submission to the
Congress.
The Secretary of State is authorized and directed to
publish this memorandum in the Federal Register.
