AGENCY: Securities and Exchange Commission.
ACTION: Reproposed rule; extension of comment period.

SUMMARY: The Securities and Exchange Commission is extending the
comment period for a release reproposing amendments to Rule 15c2-11
under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 (Release No. 34-41110) which
was published in the Federal Register on

March 8, 1999 (64 FR 11124). Rule 15c2-11 governs the publication of
quotations for securities in a quotation medium other than a national
securities exchange or Nasdaq. The comment period for Release No. 34-
41110 is being extended to May 8, 1999.
DATES: Comments must be received on or before May 8, 1999.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: On February 25, 1999, the Commission issued
Release No. 34-41110 soliciting comment on reproposed amendments to
Rule 15c2-11. Rule 15c2-11 governs the publication of quotations for
securities in a quotation medium other than a national securities
exchange or Nasdaq. The Commission originally requested that comments
on this reproposal be received by April 7, 1999. The Commission has
recently received several requests to extend the comment period and
believes that extending the comment period is appropriate in order to
give the public additional time to comment on the matters addressed by
the release. Therefore, the Commission is extending the comment period
to May 8, 1999, for Release No. 34-41110 (Publication or Submission of
Quotations Without Specified Information).
