Transporters for a Preemption Determination as to Tennessee Hazardous 
Waste Transporter Fee and Reporting Requirements

AGENCY: Research and Special Programs Administration (RSPA), DOT.

ACTION: Public notice and invitation to comment; correction.

SUMMARY: This notice corrects an error in the DATES section of the 
public notice and invitation to comment published on April 9, 1998 (63 
FR 17479) and clarifies that an administrative determination on the 
application by the Association of Waste Hazardous Materials 
Transporters will be issued by RSPA's Associate Administrator for 
Hazardous Materials Safety.

DATES: Comments received on or before May 26, 1998, and rebuttal 
comments received on or before July 8, 1998, will be considered before 
an administrative ruling is issued by RSPA's Associate Administrator 
for Hazardous Materials Safety. Rebuttal comments may discuss only 
those issues raised by comments received during the initial comment 
period and may not discuss new issues.
