Information Form and Post-Effective Reporting Requirements for 
Agreements Among Ocean Common Carriers Subject to the Shipping Act of 
1984

AGENCY: Federal Maritime Commission.

ACTION: Final Rule; Extension of time for filing Petition for 
Reconsideration.

SUMMARY: On March 21, 1996, (61 FR 11564), the Federal Maritime 
Commission published a final rule amending its regulations governing 
the information submission requirements for agreements among ocean 
carriers subject to the Shipping Act of 1984. Extension of time for 
filing a petition for reconsideration has been requested by the Asia 
North America Eastbound Rate Agreement, Japan-United States Eastbound 
Freight Conference, Transpacific Westbound Rate Agreement and their 
members. The request is granted; this extension does not affect the 
effective date of the final rule.

DATES: Petition for Reconsideration due May 19, 1996.
