National Cancer Institute; Notice of Meeting

    Notice is hereby given of the meeting of the National Cancer 
Institute Director's Consumer Liaison Group (DCLG), April 30-May 1 at 
the Doubletree Hotel, 1750 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD.
    This meeting will be open to the public on April 30, 1998 from 9:00 
a.m. to approximately 5:00 p.m., and on May 1 from 9:00 a.m. to 
approximately 2:30 p.m. During this time there will be discussions on: 
consumer/patient issues, rights and concerns regarding participation in 
cancer research including population and genetic studies and clinical 
trials; cancer control; and developing mechanisms to identify consumer 
advocates to serve on NCI program and policy advisory committees.
    The meeting will be closed to the public on May 1 from 
approximately 2:45 p.m. to approximately 4:00 p.m. for discussion of 
confidential issues. These discussions will disclose information of a 
personal nature where disclosure would constitute a clearly unwarranted 
invasion of personal privacy.
    Information pertaining to the meeting may be obtained from Elaine
