[Declaration of Disaster #3165, Amdt. #1]


State of Louisiana

    As a result of the President's major disaster declaration on April 
9, 1999 for Public Assistance only for Bossier Parish, and an amendment 
thereto on April 12 adding Individual Assistance for Bossier and Caddo 
Parishes in the State of Louisiana, I find that the above Parishes 
constitute a disaster area as a result of damages caused by severe 
storms, tornadoes, and flooding that occurred on April 3-7, 1999. This 
amendment supercedes SBA's existing Administrative disaster declaration 
to comply with the requirements of a major declaration by the 
President. Applications for loans for physical damages may be filed 
until the close of business on June 7, 1999.
    In addition, applications for economic injury loans from small 
businesses located in the following contiguous counties or parishes may 
be filed until the specified date at the previously designated 
location: Bienville, DeSoto, Red River, and Webster Parishes in 
Louisiana; Lafayette and Miller Counties in Arkansas; and Cass, 
Harrison, Marion, and Panola Counties in Texas.
    The economic injury numbers are 9C1600 for Louisiana, 9C1700 for 
Arkansas, and 9C4900 for Texas.
    All other information remains the same, i.e., the deadline for 
filing applications for economic injury is January 7, 2000.
