    Notice Pursuant to the National Cooperative Research and 
    Production Act of 1993--Petroleum Environmental Research Forum Project 
    No. 94-06
    
        Notice is hereby given that, on March 20, 1995, pursuant to Section 
    6(a) of the National Cooperative Research and Production Act of 1993, 
    15 U.S.C. 4301, et seq. (``the Act''), the participants in the 
    Petroleum Environmental Research Forum (``PERF'') Project No. 94-06 
    have filed written notifications simultaneously with the Attorney 
    General and with the Federal Trade Commission disclosing (1) the 
    identities of the parties and (2) the nature and objectives of the 
    venture. The notifications were filed for the purpose of invoking the 
    Act's provisions limiting the recovery of antitrust plaintiffs to 
    actual damages under specified circumstances. Pursuant to Section 6(b) 
    of the Act, the identities of the parties and the general area of 
    planned activity are: Exxon Research and Engineering Company, Florham 
    Park, NJ; British Petroleum Oil Company, Cleveland, OH; Conoco Inc., 
    Ponca City, OK; Shell Development Company, Houston, TX; Texaco Inc., 
    Beacon, NY; Chevron Research and Technology Company, Richmond, CA; 
    Amoco Corporation, Naperville, IL.
        The nature and objective of the research program performed in 
    accordance with PERF Project 94-06 is to work on the development of 
    approaches, data, and technologies that lead to cost effective use of 
    bioremediation as a site remediation technology as applied to 
    petroleum, petrochemical and chemical industry facilities.

    contacting Paul Becker, Exxon Research and Engineering Company, Florham 
    Park, NJ.
