New Jersey Offshore Powerboat Race, Manasquan, NJ
AGENCY: Coast Guard, DOT.
ACTION: Notice of implementation.

SUMMARY: This notice puts into effect the permanent regulations, 33 CFR
100.505, for the New Jersey Offshore Powerboat Race. The regulation
will be effective from Saturday, July 16, 1994 at 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.
This regulation is necessary to control vessel traffic due to the
confined nature of the waterway and anticipated congestion at the time
of the event. The purpose of this regulation is to provide for the
safety of life and property during the event.
EFFECTIVE DATE: The regulations in 33 CFR 100.505 are effective from 9
a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, 1994.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: This notice provides the effective period
for the permanent regulation governing the 1994 running of the New
Jersey Offshore Powerboat Race, New Jersey. A portion of the Manasquan
River will be closed during the effective period to all vessel traffic
except participants, official regatta vessels, and patrol craft. The
regulated area is that area between Manasquan Inlet together with all
of the navigable waters of the United States from Asbury Park, New
Jersey, southward to Seaside Park, New Jersey, north from the New
Jersey Shoreline seaward to the limits of the Territorial Sea; The
Manasquan River: From the New Jersey Transit Railroad Bridge to the
mouth of the Manasquan Inlet. Additional public notification will be
made via the First Coast Guard District Local Notice to Mariners and
marine safety broadcasts. The full text of this regulation is found in
