AGENCY: Federal Communications Commission.
ACTION: Proposed rule; dismissal.

SUMMARY: This document dismisses a petition filed on behalf of John J.
Shields, which requested the allotment of Channel 289A to Imboden,
Arkansas, as that community's first local aural transmission service,
based upon the lack of an expression of interest in pursuing the
proposal by the petitioner or any other party. See 61 FR 4393, February
6, 1996. With this action, the proceeeding is terminated.
