Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council; Meetings

AGENCY: National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), National Oceanic and 
Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Commerce.

ACTION: Notice of public meetings.

SUMMARY: The Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council and its Black Sea 
Bass Advisors, Habitat Committee, Demersal Species Committee (with 
Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (ASMFC) Summer Flounder 
Board) and the Surfclam and Ocean Quahog Committee will hold public 
meetings.

DATES: The meetings will be held on May 14-16, 1996. See SUPPLEMENTARY 
INFORMATION for specific dates and times.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:
    May 14
    1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., the Black Sea Bass Advisors will meet.
    3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., the Habitat Committee will meet.
    May 15
    8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., the Demersal Species Committee will meet as 
Committee of the Whole (with ASMFC Summer Flounder Board).
    1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., the Council will meet.
    3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., the Surfclam and Ocean Quahog Committee will 
meet.
    May 16
    8:00 a.m. - approximately 1:00 p.m., the Council will meet.
    The purpose of these meetings is to review comments for the Black 
Sea Bass Fishery Management Plan (FMP) and discuss possible revisions 
to the hearing draft, the Mud Dump Draft Environmental Impact 
Statement, and review comments and possible adoption of Amendment 9 to 
the Surfclam and Ocean Quahog FMP.
