Agency Information Collection Activities Under OMB Control

AGENCY: Committee for Purchase From People Who Are Blind or Severely 
Disabled.

ACTION: Notice.

SUMMARY: In compliance with the Paperwork Reduction Act (44 U.S.C. 3501 
et seq.), this notice announces that the Information Collection Request 
(ICR) abstracted below has been forwarded to the Office of Management 
and Budget (OMB) for review and comment. The ICR describes the nature 
of the information collection and its expected costs and burden; it 
includes the actual data collection instruments.

COMMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED ON OR BEFORE: April 30, 1996.

603-7740. Supplementary Information: The enabling regulations for the 
JWOD Act prescribe that the Committee: ``Conduct a continuing study and 
evaluation of its activities under the JWOD Act for the purpose of 
assuring effective and efficient administration of the JWOD Act. The 
Committee may study, independently, or in cooperation with other public 
or nonprofit private agencies, problems relating to: (1) The employment 
of the blind or individuals with other severe disabilities * * *'' 
(Sec. 51-2.2(g)).
    As part of the effort to evaluate its activities and study the 
employment of individuals who are blind or severely disabled, the 
Committee has initiated an analysis of benefits and costs of the JWOD 
Program. The information collection instruments included in the request 
for OMB approval are required for the portion of the methodology that 
deals with costs and benefits for JWOD employees. These new information 
collection instruments will be used one time to collect information 
from a representative sample of nonprofit agencies and JWOD employees.
