NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION
[Docket No. 50-483]
Union Electric Co.; Withdrawal of Application for Amendment to
Facility Operating License
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has granted
the request of Union Electric Company (the licensee) to withdraw its
December 11, 1990, application for a proposed amendment to Facility
Operating License No. NPF-30 for the Callaway Plant, Unit No. 1,
located in Callaway County, Missouri.
The proposed amendment would have revised the Technical
Specification Section 3/4.6.2.3 by deleting surveillance requirements
to verify cooling water flow rates to the containment coolers.
The Commission had previously issued a notice of Consideration of
Issuance of Amendment published in the Federal Register on September 4,
1991 (56 FR 43815). However, by letter dated March 25, 1994, the
licensee withdrew the proposed change.
For further details with respect to this action, see the
application for amendment dated December 11, 1990, and the licensee's
letter dated March 25, 1994, which withdrew the application for license
amendment. The above documents are available for public inspection at
the Commission's Public Document Room, 2120 L Street, NW., Washington,
DC 20555, and at the Callaway County Public Library, 710 Court Street,
Fulton, Missouri 65251.
Dated at Rockville, Maryland, this 30th day of March 1994.
For the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
L. Raynard Wharton,
Project Manager, Project Directorate III-3, Division of Reactor
Projects--III/IV/V, Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation.
