Kentucky West Virginia Gas Company, L.L.C.; Notice of Proposed
    Change in FERC Gas Tariff

    April 1, 1998.
Take notice on March 27, 1998, that Kentucky West Virginia Gas
Company, L.L.C. (Kentucky West), tendered for filing to become part of
its FERC Gas Tariff, Third Revised Volume No. 1, the following tariff
sheet, to become effective April 1, 1998:

    Third Revised Sheet No. 320

Kentucky West states that this filing is made to update Kentucky
West's index of customers. In Order No. 581 the Commission established
a revised format for the Index of Customers to be included in the
tariffs of interstate pipelines and required the pipelines to update
the index on a quarterly basis to reflect changes in contract activity.
Kentucky West requests a waiver of the Commission's notice requirements
to permit the tariff sheet to take effect on April 1, 1998, the first
calendar quarter, in accordance with Order No. 581.
Kentucky West states that a copy of its filing has been served upon
its customers and interested state commissions.
Any person desiring to be heard or to protest this filing should
file a motion to intervene or a protest with the Federal Energy
    Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 20426,
in accordance with Sections 385.214 and 385.211 of the Commission's
Rules and Regulations. All such motions or protests must be filed as
provided in Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. Protests
will be considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate
action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants parties to
the proceedings. Any person wishing to become a party must file a
motion to intervene. Copies of this filing are on file with the
Commission and are available for public inspection in the Public
    Reference Room.
