AGENCY: Internal Revenue Service, Treasury.

ACTION: Cancellation of notice of public hearing on proposed 
regulations.

SUMMARY: This document provides notice of cancellation of a public 
hearing on proposed regulations relating to certain transfers of stock 
or securities of domestic corporations by United States persons 
pursuant to the corporate organization, reorganization or liquidation 
provisions of the Internal Revenue Code.

DATES: The public hearing originally scheduled for April 11, 1996, 
beginning at 10:00 a.m. is cancelled.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The subject of the public hearing is 
proposed regulations under section 367 of the Internal Revenue Code. A 
notice of proposed rulemaking by cross-reference to temporary 
regulations and notice of public hearing appearing in the Federal 
Register for Tuesday, December 26, 1995 (60 FR 66771), announced that a 
public hearing on the proposed regulations would by held on Thursday, 
April 11, 1996, beginning at 10:00 a.m., in the IRS Auditorium, 7400 
Corridor, Internal Revenue Building, 1111 Constitution Avenue NW., 
Washington, D.C. The public hearing scheduled for Thursday, April 11, 
1996, is cancelled.
