Technology Transfer Act of 1986
AGENCY: U.S. Geological Survey, Interior.
ACTION: Notice of proposed Cooperative Research and Development
Agreement (CRADA) negotiations.

SUMMARY: The United States Geological Survey (USGS) is planning to
enter into a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA)
with Microsoft Corporation. The purpose of the CRADA is to jointly
research and develop general public-oriented data browsing and
retrieval capabilities. Any other organization interested in pursuing
the possibility of a CRADA for similar kinds of activities should
contact the USGS.
