Notice of Meeting
In accordance with section 10(a) of the Federal Advisory Committee
Act (Title 5, U.S.C., Appendix 2) announcement is made of the following
special emphasis panel scheduled to meet during the month of May 1994:
Name: Health Care Policy and Research Special Emphasis Panel
Date and Time: May 20, 1994, 8 a.m.
Place: Parklawn Conference Center, Conference Room P, 5600
Fishers Lane, Rockville, Maryland 20857.
Open May 20, 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Closed for remainder of meeting.
Purpose: This panel is charged with conducting the initial
review of health services research training grant applications from
educational institutions, individuals, or organizations for Federal
support to ensure that highly-trained scientific personnel will be
available in adequate numbers and in the appropriate research areas
and fields to maintain the nation's health services research agenda.
Agenda: The open session on May 20 from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. will
be devoted to a business meeting covering administrative matters and
reports. The closed session of the meeting will be devoted to a
review of research training grant applications. In accordance with
the Federal Advisory Committee Act, Title 5, U.S.C., Appendix 2 and
Title 5, U.S.C. 552b(c)(6), the Administrator, Agency for Health
Care Policy and Research (AHCPR) has made a formal determination
that this latter session will be closed because the discussions are
likely to reveal personal information concerning individuals
associated with applications. This information is exempt from
mandatory disclosure.
