Desegregation of Public Education--State Educational Agency
Desegregation Program; Notice of Cancellation of New Awards for Fiscal
Year (FY) 1996
SUMMARY: On December 20, 1995, the Department of Education published a
notice in the Federal Register (60 FR 65644) inviting applications for
new awards for FY 1996 for the Desegregation of Public Education--State
Educational Agency Program. On March 27, 1996, a notice was published
in the Federal Register (61 FR 13485) extending the closing date for
receipt of applications to May 9, 1996. The purpose of this notice is
to advise potential applicants that this competition has been cancelled
due to lack of funds.
