    Notice of meeting.

    SUMMARY:

    Pursuant to the Federal Advisory Committee Act, Public Law 92-463, the Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Research and Development (ORD), gives notice of a meeting of the Board of Scientific Counselors (BOSC) Executive Committee.

    DATES:

    The meeting will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2009, from 8:15 a.m. to 5 p.m., and will continue on Friday, June 5, 2009, from 8:15 a.m. until 12 noon. All times noted are Central Standard Time. The meeting may adjourn early if all business is finished. Requests for the draft agenda or for making oral presentations at the meeting will be accepted up to one business day before the meeting.

    General Information

In general, each individual making an oral presentation will be limited to a total of three minutes.

    Proposed agenda items for the meeting include, but are not limited to: ORD response to the BOSC Homeland Security program review report; Executive Committee review of the BOSC Human Health Program Review Subcommittee, Science and Technology for Sustainability Mid-Cycle Subcommittee, and National Center for Environmental Research draft reports; site visit to the ORD National Health and Environmental Effects Laboratory; update on BOSC mid-cycle review subcommittees (Human Health Risk Assessment); update on the BOSC program review subcommittees (Clean Air and Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals); update on the BOSC standing subcommittees (National Center for Environmental Research, National Exposure Research Lab, and National Center for Computational Toxicology); a briefing from the Tennessee Valley Authority on the Kingston Project; an update on BOSC workgroups; an ORD update (including optimizing the BOSC program review process); an update on EPA's Science Advisory Board activities; and future issues and plans. The meeting is open to the public.
