The Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company, Et Al.; Notice of
Withdrawal of Application for Amendment to Facility Operating License
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has granted
the request of The Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company, et al. (the
licensee) to withdraw its June 18, 1993, application for proposed
amendment to Facility Operating License No. NPF-58 for the Perry
Nuclear Power Plant, Unit No. 1, located in Lake County, Ohio.
The proposed amendment would have modified the facility technical
specifications pertaining to Figure 5.1.1-1, ``Exclusion Area,
Unrestricted Area for Liquid Effluents and Site Boundary for Gaseous
Effluents.''
The Commission had previously issued a Notice of Consideration of
Issuance of Amendment published in the Federal Register on September
15, 1993 (58 FR 48389). However, by letter dated April 26, 1996, the
licensee withdrew the proposed change.
For further details with respect to this action, see the
application for amendment dated June 18, 1993, and the licensee's
letter dated April 26, 1996, which withdrew the application for license
amendment. The above documents are available for public inspection at
the Commission's Public Document Room, the Gelman Building, 2120 L
Street, NW., Washington, DC, and at the local public document room
located at the Perry Public Library, 3753 Main Street, Perry, Ohio.
