Notice Pursuant to the National Cooperative Research and 
Production Act of 1993--Consortium for Integrated Intelligent 
Manufacturing, Planning and Execution

    Notice is hereby given that, on April 24, 1996, pursuant to 
Sec. 6(a) of the National Cooperative Research and Production Act of 
1993, 15 U.S.C. 4301 et seq. (``the Act''), the Consortium for 
Integrated Intelligent Manufacturing, Planning and Execution 
(``CIIMPLEX'') has filed written notifications simultaneously with the 
Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission disclosing (1) the 
identities of the parties and (2) the nature and objectives of the 
venture. The notifications were filed for the purpose of invoking the 
Act's provisions limiting the recovery of antitrust plaintiffs to 
actual damages under specific circumstances. Pursuant to Sec. 6(b) of 
the Act, the identities of the parties are: International Business 
Machines (``IBM'') Corporation, Charlotte, NC; Berclain U.S.A., 
Schaumberg, IL; Ingersoll Rand, Woodcliff Lake, NJ; J.D. Edwards, 
Denver, CO; and QUD Inc., Mt. Laurel, NJ.
    The CIIMPLEX Consortium's area of planned activity is the 
development of open industry software protocols that will integrate 
manufacturing, planning and execution computing environments across the 
U.S. manufacturing base.
