DEPARTMENT OF LABOR
[NAFTA-00838]
Winona Knitting Mills, Inc., Berwick Knitwear (Formerly Komar &
Sons Berwick Knitwear) Berwick, Pennsylvania; Notice of Affirmative
Determination Regarding Application for Reconsideration
By letter of April 16, 1996, the company official requested
administrative reconsideration of the Department of Labor's Notice of
Negative Determination Regarding Eligibility to Apply for NAFTA-
Transitional Adjustment Assistance for workers of the subject firm. The
denial notice was signed on April 8, 1996 and will soon be published in
the Federal Register.
The company official presents evidence that the Department's survey
of the subject firm's customers was incomplete.
Conclusion
After careful review of the application, I conclude that the claim
is of sufficient weight to justify reconsideration of the Department of
Labor's prior decision. the application is, therefore, granted.
Signed at Washington, D.C., this 27th day of April 1996.
Russell T. Kile,
Acting Program Manager, Policy and Reemployment Services, Office of
Trade Adjustment Assistance.
