    ACTION:

    Notice of meetings.

    SUMMARY:

    The Hiawatha East Resource Advisory Committee (Committee) will meet in Kincheloe, Michigan. The Committee is meeting as authorized under the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act of 2000 (the Act) (Pub. L. 112-141) and in compliance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) (Pub. L. 92-463). The purpose of the Committee is to improve collaborative relationships and to provide advice and recommendations to the Forest Service concerning projects and funding consistent with Title II of the Act. The meetings are open to the public. The purpose of the meetings is to review and recommend projects authorized under Title II of the Act.

    DATES:

    The meetings will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2013; Thursday, June 20, 2013; Thursday, July 11, 2013; Thursday, August 15, 2013; and Thursday, September 19, 2013. All meetings will begin at 6:00 p.m. (EST).

    ADDRESSES:

    The meetings will be held at the Chippewa County 911 Center, 4657 West Industrial Park Drive, Kincheloe, Michigan 49788. Written comments may be submitted as described under Supplementary Information. All comments, including names and addresses when provided, are placed in the record and are available for public inspection and copying. The public may inspect comments received at the Hiawatha National Forest, 820 Rains Drive, Gladstone, Michigan 49837. Please call ahead at (906) 428-5829 to facilitate entry into the building to view comments.

    SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:

    The following business will be conducted: Update regarding implementation of 2008-2011 Projects; Update on the Secure Rural Schools 2012 Update; Review and discussion of proposals for 2012; and Public Comment. Individuals who wish to bring related matters to the attention of the Committee may file written statements with the Committee staff before or after the meeting. The agenda will include time for people to make oral statements of three minutes or less. Individuals wishing to make an oral statement should request in writing no later than two weeks prior to the meeting, to be scheduled on the agenda.
