Notice Pursuant to the National Cooperative Research and
Production Act of 1993--Microelectronics and Computer Technology
Corporation
Notice is hereby given that, on April 10, 1997, pursuant to section
6(a) of the National Cooperative Research and Production Act of 1993,
15 U.S.C. 4301 et seq. (``the Act''), Microelectronics and Computer
Technology Corporation (``MCC'') has filed written notifications
simultaneously with the Attorney General and the Federal Trade
Commission disclosing changes in its membership. The notifications were
filed for the purpose of extending the Act's provisions limiting the
recovery of antitrust plaintiffs to actual damages under specified
circumstances.
Specifically, the changes are as follows: Composite Health Care
Systems II, Navy Executive Agency, Falls Church, VA; NASA-AMES Research
Center, Moffett Field, CA; and Nokia Research Center, Helsinki, FINLAND
have joined MCC as Associate Members. Harris Corporation has withdrawn
its membership from MCC.
Other changes within the membership are as follows: NASA-AMES
Research Center and Nokia Research Center are committed to joining the
MCC Study Pool; Hewlett-Packard, Motorola, Nokia Research Center and
Nortel have joined the Low Cost Portables project; Tandem Computers,
Inc., has joined the Server and Network Technology project; Hughes
Electronics Company and

Raytheon have joined the HRM project; Lockheed Martin has joined the
Object Infrastructure project; TRW has joined the Collaboration
Management project; and Eastman Kodak is reactivating its shareholder
status.
No other changes have been made in either the membership or planned
activity of MCC. Membership remains open and MCC intends to file
additional written notifications disclosing all membership changes.
On December 21, 1984, MCC filed its original notification pursuant
to section 6(a) of the Act. The Department of Justice published a
notice in the Federal Register pursuant to section 6(b) of the Act on
January 17, 1985 (50 FR 2633). The last notification was filed with the
Department on December 18, 1996 and appeared in the Federal Register on
March 7, 1997 (62 FR 10585).
