    SUMMARY:

    In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, FAA invites public comments about our intention to request the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approval to renew an information collection. The respondents to this information collection are CFR Part 135 and Part 121 operators. The FAA uses the information to ensure compliance and adherence to the regulations.

    Title: Certification: Air Carriers and Commercial Operators.

    Form Numbers: FAA Form 8400-6.

    Type of Review: Renewal of an information collection.

    Background: This request for clearance reflects requirements necessary under parts 135, 121, and 125 to comply with part 119. The FAA uses the information it collects and reviews to insure compliance and adherence to regulations and, if necessary, take enforcement action on violators of the regulations.

    Respondents: Approximately 2,445 air carriers and commercial operators.

    Frequency: Information is collected on occasion.

    Estimated Average Burden per Response: 2.45 hours.

    Estimated Total Annual Burden: 8,869 hours.
