Notice Pursuant to the National Cooperative Research and
Production Act of 1993; Financial Services Technology Consortium, Inc.,
Electronic Check Project
Notice is hereby given that, on April 9, 1996, pursuant to
Sec. 6(a) of the National Cooperative Research and Production Act of
1993, 15 U.S.C. Sec. 4301 et seq. (``the Act''), the Financial Services
Technology Consortium, Inc.; Electronic Check Project has filed written
notifications simultaneously with the Attorney General and the Federal
Trade Commission disclosing changes in its membership. The
notifications were filed for the purpose of extending the Act's
provisions limiting the recovery of antitrust plaintiffs to actual
damages under specified circumstances. Specifically, the changes are as
follows: Novell, Inc., San Jose, CA; InraNet, Inc., Newton, MA; Global
Concepts, Inc., Atlanta, GA and Bell Communications Research, Inc.,
Morristown, NJ have been added to the venture.
On August 10, 1995, the Financial Services Technology Consortium
filed its original notification pursuant to Sec. 6(a) of the Act. The
Department of Justice published a notice in the Federal Register
pursuant to Sec. 6(b) of the Act on January 31, 1996 (61 Fed. Reg.
3463). The last notification was filed on February 13, 1996. The
Department of Justice published a notice in the Federal Register on
April 10, 1996. (61 Fed. Reg. 15970).
