Technology Transfer Act of 1986

AGENCY: U.S. Geological Survey, Interior.

ACTION: Notice of proposed Cooperative Research and Development 
Agreement (CRADA) negotiations.

SUMMARY: The United States Geological Survey (USGS) is planning to 
enter into a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) 
with the Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI), Redlands, CA. 
The purpose of the CRADA is to conduct research and development in the 
management, access, distribution, and application of geospatial data 
related to elevation, hydrologic, watershed, national atlas, raster, 
and image data programs. Any other organization interested in pursuing 
the possibility of a CRADA for similar kinds of activities should 
contact the USGS.
