SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:
Background
The Department of Commerce has received a request to conduct an
administrative review of the antidumping duty order on certain forged
steel crankshafts from the United Kingdom. On October 12, 1995, the
Department initiated this administrative review covering the period
September 1, 1994, through August 31, 1995. The Department adjusted the
time limits by 28 days due to the government shutdowns, which lasted
from November 14, 1995, to November 20, 1995, and from December 15,
1995, to January 6, 1996. See Memorandum to the file from Paul L.
Joffe, Acting Assistant Secretary for Import Administration, January
11, 1996. As adjusted, the current time limits are July 1, 1996, for
the preliminary results and November 29, 1996, for the final results.
It is not practicable to complete this review within the time
limits mandated by section 751 (a)(3)(A) of the Act. See Memorandum
from Joseph A. Spetrini, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Compliance to
Paul L. Joffe, Acting Assistant Secretary for Import Administration,
May 9, 1996. Therefore, in accordance with that section, the Department
is extending the time limits for the preliminary results to November
29, 1996, and for the final results to March 31, 1997.
Interested parties must submit applications for disclosure under
administrative protective order in accordance with 19 CFR 353.34(b).
Dated: May 14, 1996.

Deputy Assistant Secretary for Compliance.
