AGENCY: Department of Agriculture, USDA.
ACTION: Notice of proposed rulemaking; extension of comment period.

SUMMARY: On February 17, 1998, USDA published in the Federal Register
(63 FR 7734) a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) in which USDA
proposed to revise its grants management regulations in order to bring
the entitlement programs it administers under the same regulations that
already apply to nonentitlement programs and identify exceptions to
these general rules that apply only to entitlement programs. This
document extends the comment period for that NPRM in order to give
interested parties ample time to comment.
DATES: The period for written comments is extended from May 19, 1998 to
June 18, 1998.
