Northeast Utilities Service Company; Notice of Filing

May 17, 1995.
    Take notice that on March 31, 1995, Northeast Utilities Service 
Company (NUSCO) tendered for filing on behalf of The Connecticut Light 
and Power Company (CL&P), Western Massachusetts Electric Company 
(WMECO), Holyoke Water Power Company (HWP), Holyoke Power and Electric 
Company and Public Service Company of New Hampshire (together, the NU 
System Companies) clarification of the formula for the determination of 
operation and maintenance expense contained in Schedule B to the 
Distribution Service Agreement previously filed by NUSCO in the above-
referenced docket.
    NUSCO renews its request that the proposed rate schedule changes be 
permitted to become effective January 1, 1995. NUSCO states that a copy 
of the filing has been mailed or delivered to the affected parties.
    Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should 
file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy 
Regulatory Commission, 825 North Capitol Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 
20426, in accordance with Rules 211 and 214 of the Commission's Rules 
of Practice and Procedure (18 CFR 385.211 and 18 CFR 385.214). All such 
motions or protests should be filed on or before May 26, 1995. Protests 
will be considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate 
action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants parties to 
the proceeding. Any person wishing to become a party must file a motion 
to intervene. Copies of this filing are on file with the Commission and 
are available for public inspection.
