Office of Fossil Energy; ProGas U.S.A., Inc. Order Granting Long-
Term Authorization To Import Natural Gas From Canada
AGENCY: Office of Fossil Energy, DOE.
ACTION: Notice of Order.

SUMMARY: The Office of Fossil Energy of the Department of Energy gives
notice that it has issued an order granting ProGas U.S.A., Inc. (ProGas
U.S.A.) long-term authorization to import from Canada up to 65,000
thousand cubic feet per day of natural gas, plus gas required for
transportation, for a 15-year period beginning on October 1, 2000, or
such later date as Alliance Pipeline Limited Partnership and Alliance
Pipeline L.P. commence service, pursuant to the terms of a natural gas
purchase contract dated July 1, 1990, as amended July 2, 1990, between
ProGas U.S.A. and ProGas Limited.
This order is available for inspection and copying in the Office of
Natural Gas & Petroleum Import & Export Activities docket room, 3E-042,
FE-34, Forrestal Building, 1000 Independence Avenue, SW., Washington,
DC 20585, (202) 586-9478. The docket room is open between the hours of
8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except Federal
holidays.
