    AGENCY: Federal Election Commission.
    
    DATE & TIME: Friday, August 6, 1999 at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, August 7, 
    1999 a.m.
    
    PLACE: The Westin Hotel, 909 North Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611.
    
    NAME: Federal Election Commission Election Administration Advisory 
    Panel.
    
    STATUS: The Advisory Panel Meeting is Open to the public, dependent on 
    available space.
        In accordance with the provisions of the Federal Advisory Committee 
    Act (5 U.S.C. App. I) and Office of Management and Budget Circular A-
    63, as revised, the Federal Election Commission announces the 1999 
    Advisory Panel meeting.
    
    ITEMS TO BE DISCUSSED: The FEC's 1999 Report to Congress on the NVRA, 
    U.S. Motor Voter Law vs. Canadian National Register of Elections, 
    Accessibility in the Voting Process, Biometrics and its Relationship to 
    Voting on the Internet, The Year 2000 Census Report, Election Case Law 
    Update, Recent Developments in Contested Elections, the FEC Voting 
    Systems Standards Project.
    
    PURPOSE OF THE MEETING: The Panel will present their views on problems 
    in the administration of Federal elections, and formulate 
    recommendations to the Federal Election Commission Office of Election 
    Administration for its future program development.
        Any member of the public may file a written statement with the 
    Panel before, during, or after the meeting. To the extent that time 
    permits, Panel Chair may allow public presentation or oral statements 
    at the meeting.
